Skilled Worker Visa

The Skilled Worker Visa allows overseas professionals to live and work in the UK for an approved employer that holds a valid sponsor licence. This route is designed for individuals with the skills, qualifications, and experience needed to fill roles in the UK labour market. To qualify, applicants must have a confirmed job offer from a licensed sponsor, meet the required skill level, and be paid at or above the relevant salary threshold. This visa can lead to settlement (Indefinite Leave to Remain) after five years, making it an excellent pathway for those seeking long-term residence in the UK.

Sponsorship Licence

Sponsorship Licence allows UK employers to hire skilled workers from overseas to fill roles that cannot be met by the local workforce. Businesses must apply to the Home Office to become licensed sponsors and demonstrate that they are genuine organisations operating lawfully in the UK. Once approved, sponsors can issue Certificates of Sponsorship to eligible workers, enabling them to apply for a Skilled Worker Visa or other sponsored routes. Holding a Sponsorship Licence also carries ongoing compliance duties, such as record-keeping, reporting changes, and maintaining accurate HR systems to meet Home Office requirements.

Global Talent Visa

The Global Talent Visa is designed for highly skilled individuals who are recognised as leaders or potential leaders in fields such as academia, research, arts and culture, or digital technology. This visa allows talented professionals to work in the UK without the need for a sponsoring employer, offering greater flexibility and freedom. Applicants must first obtain an endorsement from an approved endorsing body relevant to their field before applying to the Home Office. The Global Talent Visa can lead to settlement after three or five years, depending on the applicant’s achievements and category, making it an attractive route for exceptional individuals seeking to contribute to the UK’s innovation and cultural sectors.

Global Business Mobility (GBM)

The Global Business Mobility Visa is designed for overseas businesses that need to establish a presence in the UK or transfer staff for specific business purposes. This route includes several categories, such as Senior or Specialist Worker, Graduate Trainee, UK Expansion Worker, Service Supplier, and Secondment Worker. Each category has its own eligibility requirements based on the nature of the assignment and the applicant’s role within the company. Applicants must have a valid Certificate of Sponsorship from a licensed sponsor and meet skill and salary requirements. While this visa does not directly lead to settlement, it provides valuable opportunities for international companies to expand, collaborate, and strengthen their operations in the UK.
